From CTE graduate and tradesperson to AI, STEM, and makerspace innovation leader.
Michael's connection to Career and Technical Education is personal. He began as a graduate of a high school CTE program, built his early career as a carpenter and licensed contractor, and then returned to the classroom as a CTE-certified teacher, first in woodworking and later in communications technology.
That hands-on foundation shaped a 30+ year career designing STEM, CTE, maker, media, and AI learning ecosystems. His work has included award-winning technology and curriculum initiatives, major public and foundation-funded programs, AI teacher leadership models, workforce-aligned pathways, innovation centers, and makerspace facilities.
