Build Lab preview

A workspace for CTE projects, AI challenges, and trade-area exploration.

The Build Lab is being developed as a sign-in gateway, searchable project space, trade-area navigation, challenge starts, activity signals, and links to CTE frameworks and support resources.

What the app does

It organizes CTE building around trades, challenges, resources, and student activity.

Trade-area navigation

Students browse twelve represented trade areas across health, transportation, construction, service, creative, technology, and engineering pathways.

Project search

A search bar invites students to find projects, code, or trades, making the workspace feel like a real build library instead of a static lesson page.

Challenge starts

The app points students toward challenges and AI tools so project work can begin from a prompt, pathway, or build idea.

Community signals

Live feed and activity patterns show remixing, earned achievements, published systems, and community-choice work.

Student flow

Sign in, choose a trade, start a challenge, and carry the work forward.

  1. 1 · Enter the lab

Students sign in and land in a build-oriented workspace, not a generic chatbot or document repository.

  2. 2 · Pick a pathway

Trade-area navigation helps connect AI-supported work to the student’s CTE program and skill context.

  3. 3 · Search or start

Students can search projects, code, or trades, then start a challenge or build from a suggested idea.

  4. 4 · Share progress

Activity feeds and project signals create the foundation for portfolios, peer remixing, and instructor visibility.

Framework-aware resources

The app points users back to the standards and support ecosystem.
